How to use
Hermes day to day
Part of the Hermes Agent beginner track · Nous Research (open source, MIT license).
Giving tasks. Chat in plain English in the app, terminal, or Telegram. Say the goal, the sources, and when to stop.
Approving actions. When a dangerous command needs you, Hermes asks. On Telegram, Discord, and Slack, you get buttons. You have 300 seconds by default before it times out.
Scheduled jobs. Ask: "Every Monday at 9 AM, ..." Hermes can create, pause, edit, run, and remove jobs when you ask. Results come back to your chat.
Memory. Hermes keeps two small files: MEMORY.md (its notes) and USER.md (your preferences). They're stored in ~/.hermes/memories/. You can open and edit them.
Skills. Skills are saved how-to guides. Hermes comes with a bundled set and creates new ones after hard tasks. Browse with /skills.

- Stop: Ctrl+C in the terminal, or
/stopin chat. - Undo or retry the last turn:
/undoor/retry. - Start fresh:
