Muse setup guide for beginners
Part of the Muse beginner track · Meta (Meta Superintelligence Labs).
What you need:
- A Meta account. You can create one with Facebook, Instagram, or an email address or phone number.
- To be 18+ for paid plans, and in a country where Muse works (reported: US and Canada).
- The Muse app (iPhone or Android), a web browser for muse.ai, or WhatsApp.
Step-by-step setup:
- Get the app or go to muse.ai. Sign in with your Meta account.
- Set permissions first. Settings → Permissions → set Connectors and Web access to Always ask.
- Check auto-connected accounts. Facebook, Instagram, and Threads may already be connected through Accounts Center.
- Connect one app. Say "Connect my Gmail," or Settings → Connectors → Connect → Continue, then sign in.
- Choose read-only where offered. Meta says many connectors can be set to only retrieve data.
- Try a safe first task. Ask a question about your calendar.
Not in your country? The app shows a "not available in your country or region yet" message. Reports say VPN workarounds break Meta's terms. Don't risk your account.
