17 Claude Duet prompts
Part of the Claude Duet beginner track · Anthropic.
1. Morning brief.
Every weekday at 7:30 AM, summarize what needs me across connected email, calendar, and Slack. Decisions and deadlines first. Don't send or change anything.
2. Urgency filter.
From today's brief, list only items that need a decision from me in the next 24 hours. If you're unsure, mark it "maybe" instead of urgent.
3. Email drafts.
Draft replies to the 3 most urgent emails from the last day in my voice. Show each draft. Wait for approval before sending.
4. Slack draft.
Draft a short Slack reply to [thread]. Friendly and under 5 sentences. Don't post until I approve.
5. Calendar prep.
For tomorrow's meetings, list time, goal, and any open questions from related email. Don't change the calendar.
6. Invoice table.
From [Stripe/QuickBooks], list last week's invoices: client, amount, date, status. Don't edit records.
7. CRM follow-ups.
In HubSpot (or my CRM), find deals with no activity in 7 days. Draft a follow-up note for each. Don't send.
8. Hiring screen notes.
Summarize today's applicant emails into a table: name, role, fit notes. Don't email anyone.
9. Contract checklist.
Read this contract summary and list risks in plain English. Prepare a DocuSign path only after I say so. Ask before any signature.
10. Canva draft.
Turn these bullet points into a one-page Canva flyer draft. Don't publish.
11. Shopify exceptions.
List orders from the last 48 hours that look unusual (refunds, address changes, big discounts). Don't change any order.
12. Capped purchase.
Prepare a purchase for [item] under $40 via Shop Pay or Stripe Link if needed. Show the total. Ask before you pay.
13. Weekly client recap.
Every Friday at 4 PM, summarize this week's email with [client]: decisions, open questions, promises. Don't send the recap to them unless I approve.
14. Usage check.
How hard am I hitting Claude usage with Duet background work this week? Suggest what to pause if I'm close to the limit.
15. Safety: boundaries.
From now on, never send, pay, sign, or delete without asking. Never share card numbers or government ID. Confirm.
16. Safety: connector audit.
List every connector you can use, what each can read or change, and which ones I should disconnect if I only need email and calendar.
17. Safety: off-limits reminder.
Remind me what you will refuse even if I ask: trading securities and moving money between accounts. Confirm those stay blocked.
Tip: Prompts help, but your real protection is reading every approval and connecting fewer apps.
